Best of 2015: All the Most Show-Stopping Gowns to Hit the Red Carpet—See Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian & More! by Arielle Sacks Thu, Dec 17, 2015 4:00 PM

Let's get straight to it: Of all the fashionable things that 2015 will be recognized for, it's the naked dress that will go down in history forever.
This year the red carpet was full of show stopping moments, but all trends paled in comparison to the birthday suit-beauty effect. While it was Rhianna who first sent jaws crashing to the floor with her naked dress back in 2014 (yeah, you know the Adam Selman one), Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé turned up the trend to a whole 'nother level at the Met Gala.
Kim's Roberto Cavalli number hugged her curves in all the right places (even that teeny-tiny baby bump), with ample beading and a lengthy feathered train. Now Queen B—whew! Booty, boobs and (nearly) everything else was on full display in her barely-there Givenchy getup.
Although she's known to flaunt her curves in many a risqué design, Jennifer Lopez's real show-stopping moment this year came in the form of an elegant (yet still cleavage-clad) Elie Saab confection at the Oscars. With a plunging neckline, intricate beading and a full tulle skirt, this dress made for the perfect glam-gal moment.

And as a matter of fact, there were quite a few Elie Saab masterpieces on the red carpet this year, including Lily James' elegant beaded gown during her Cinderella press tour (you can thank her fairy godmother stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray). And let's not neglect Elizabeth Banks either, who created her own princess moment in a beaded, blood-red Elie Saab gown for the Berlinale International Film Festival.
Surprised to seeLupita Nyong'o on this roundup? Neither are we (in fact, it was hard to just pick one look for her!), 'cause this heavily beaded emerald Gucci look from Cannes is just to good. And during the same film festival, world-renowned fashionista Fan Bingbing lived up her reputation in this masterful Ralph & Russo Couture gown as well.
Meanwhile at the Venice Film Festival, Diane Kruger did her usual do-no-wrong styling act (she selects all of her own looks, FYI) with a regal caped Prada confection. And then there was Kate Hudson, who sported a super sexy, super plunging Versace halter at the Golden Globes.
Oh, and who could forget Naomie Harris' tangerine Stella McCartney gown from the Spectre press tour? Now, Naomie's never been a stranger to the fashion big wigs. But this look (plus the rest from the tour) solidified her all-star red carpet status.
Now pause and take a moment to relish all of these breathtaking red carpet looks—ahhh. Alas, we have one more item of business: Which of these looks is your favorite from 2015? Cast your vote below!
