Before he drops his album on Friday, Future goes on a wild ride with Maroon 5 in the trippy video for the band’s single “Cold.”
The bizarre clip, which stars Hendrix, Adam Levine, and his supermodel wife Behati Prinsloo, starts with Levine driving home when he gets a call to stop by Future’s house so he can play him his “Cold” verse. After telling his wife that he will be late, he heads to the house party.
There, the bartender slips acid in his drink and he starts to hallucinate and see psychedelic effects including a fish with a human head and floating police cars. Women try to seduce him before he meets up with Future, who appears as a teddy bear and an old white lady.
He eventually is thrown in the pool and witnesses an underwater wedding before returning home safely to his wife, who he recounts the strange evening to.
“It was weird. Somebody slipped something into my drink,” says Levine. “I think it was acid because I started tripping balls. Future turned into a teddy bear and James was getting blown by a chicken. It was crazy.”
Future’s self-titled album drops Friday and he will launch his “Nobody’s Safe Tour” on May 4 with special guests Migos, Tory Lanez, and Kodak Black. Meanwhile, Maroon 5 is gearing up to release their own album, which will also feature the Kendrick Lamar-assisted hit “Don’t Wanna Know.”
